The formal Drawing Room features a magnificent 18th century Mughul rug, comfortable sofas and chairs. Enjoy a drink from the honesty bar and chat with your fellow guests in front of the roaring fire.
Slip over to the Library and take down a book from our fine collection of early Australian literature and topographical works, or enjoy chess or an old fashioned board game. Admire the antique artworks and original prints on the walls and the ornaments and furniture decorating the room. Some of these rare items are Tasmanian, from the earliest Colonial period, and our beautiful Broadwood forte piano has been in Tasmania since it was built in 1817. Just ask; if your skills are up to it we’d all love to hear you play.
